MARYLAND LACROSSE
WOMEN'S TEAM UNIFORMS
The University of Maryland, an NCAA university, was Under Armour's first collegiate athletic program with rights to all its sports programs. As designers, our job was to keep the identity across sports by keeping within a strict branding guideline. We wanted every sport, every gender, and every athlete to look like they belonged to the same university.
All uniforms were printed by sublimation or screenprint. I used design elements created by the directors of my team, or I created unique graphics for training uniforms. When the uniforms were due for a cut-and-sew update, I designed the actual pieces and worked with our material developers, technical designers, and product developers to build something new. Once I recieved the graded patterns for the new designs, I was responsible for placing the sublimated prints and making sure every size executed in production.
Although this project showcases just one sport for one school, my team and I executed designs for 14 different schools and 8 sports.
A team effort!
